About us

Our story

Almost four years ago, I went along to a puppy yoga class to celebrate my friend's birthday. I absolutely loved the concept. It was such a lovely way to spend an hour, doing something a little different and, of course, getting to meet some adorable puppies.

But I also came away thinking about how the whole experience worked behind the scenes.

I could see how special the concept was, but I knew that if I was going to create something similar myself, I wanted to do things a little differently. For me, the puppies' welfare had to be at the heart of everything, not just an added consideration.

And that's where Pupdates began.

I wanted to create a space where people could enjoy all the lovely things about puppy yoga and Pilates, while making sure the experience was positive for the puppies too.

From working closely with responsible breeders to keeping our sessions carefully supervised, giving puppies plenty of opportunities to rest and making sure their individual needs always come first, those values have shaped Pupdates from the very beginning.

What started as one little idea has now grown into classes across Glasgow, Chester and Shrewsbury, with thousands of people joining us along the way.

And although the business has grown, the reason I started it hasn't changed.

I still want every person who comes through our doors to leave feeling happy, relaxed and already thinking about their next visit. But just as importantly, I want the puppies to have a safe, positive experience that supports their early socialisation before heading off to their forever homes.

We've recently given Pupdates a whole new look, and there are lots of exciting things ahead, but the heart of the business will always stay the same.

Thank you for being part of our little journey. Whether you've been coming since the beginning or you're only just discovering us, I'm so glad you're here.

With love,
Abi ♡

Why we do it

Better socialisation for brighter futures

The first few weeks of a puppy's life are so important. Controlled, positive socialisation helps them grow into confident, well adjusted adult dogs.

Pupdates gives puppies the chance to meet new people, experience a calm environment and build positive associations, all while being closely supervised and with their welfare always coming first.

  • Positive early socialisation
  • Safe and controlled environment
  • Happier, more confident puppies

The face behind Pupdates

Hi, I'm Abi! The girl behind Pupdates.

What started as a little idea after attending a puppy yoga class for my friend's birthday has somehow turned into a business that's been such a huge part of my life for almost four years now.

When I first started Pupdates, I honestly had no idea how much it would grow. I just knew I wanted to create something special, somewhere people could come to switch off, have a lovely experience and enjoy spending time with puppies, while knowing their welfare was always the priority.

Since then, I've learnt so much, met some incredible people, worked with some lovely breeders and watched Pupdates grow into something I'm genuinely so proud of.

There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes, from finding the right breeders and organising classes to answering messages and planning what's next. But seeing people enjoy something I've created makes all the hard work worth it.

I'm always thinking of new ideas and ways to make Pupdates even better, which is exactly why we've recently given the whole brand a little makeover!

Even as we continue to grow, I never want Pupdates to lose that personal touch. It's still my little business, built from an idea I had all those years ago, and I care just as much about every experience now as I did at the very beginning.

So whether you've been supporting Pupdates for years or you're about to book your very first class, thank you. It genuinely means so much.

Hopefully I'll get to meet you at a class soon!

Lots of love,
Abi x ♡
